More useful Allergy LinksRather than attempt to re-create a large allergy information database, I would rather direct fellow health workers and members of the public to some high quality websites. The sites I have chosen are usually excellent databases with highly relevant information that has been scientifically validated. I include a cross section of sites that cover a wide range of allergic disorders but with special relevance to Food Allergy diagnosis and treatment in the United Kingdom.
Allergy UK and is an excellent UK-based site, with wonderful resources and contacts for allergy sufferers. They are a charity specifically set up to help allergy and intolerance sufferers and their doctors. European Academy for Allergology and Clinical Immunology is an European umbrella allergy organisation of EU member state allergy organisations. Their website provides up to date allergy information for physicians and the public.European Academy for Allergology World Allergy Organisation is a global academic allergy organisation overseeing allergy education. This site has plenty of information and useful links. The Anaphylaxis Campaign started by David Reading is based in Hampshire and is a wonderful support organization for anaphylaxis sufferers. It has a wealth of information on Nut Allergy and anaphylaxis management.Allergy Society of South Africa website has a comprehensive information database on most allergic disorders in an easy to read formation and some useful links to the Allergy Advisor Food Additive Database and AllAllergy Net - Dr Harris Steinman's excellent Allergy Portal. The Allergy & Allergies Agency of London is a UK based organization affiliated to Surrey Allergy Clinics with allergy information and cutting edge allergy Press Releases highlighting new allergy developments. Asthma and Allergy Information and Resources (AAIR ) is an excellent UK-based site, written by Allergist Prof Stein with plenty of useful information and high quality links – all highly relevant.For allergy diagnosis in a sunnier environment, Dr Adrian Morris also consults at allergy clinics in Cape Town in South Africa on a regular basis Finally, visit the our new BBC Health Website written for all those millions of allergy sufferers by Dr Adrian Morris
